I absolutely love Conference weekend. To lay around in sweats and relax is wonderful. I was able to spend time with my mom, sister and sister-in-law while our husbands were at priesthood meeting. I especially love hearing the words and messages from our general authorities and prophets. As President Monson put it, we have been spiritually fed all weekend. Be are truly blessed to live in a time that we can listen to the words of the prophets and enjoy them from the comfort of our own homes.
It's so hard to pick just one talk that I like more than others but I did really love Elder Hales talk Saturday morning. I felt like it was directed right at me. How interesting that he put debt and addiction in the same category. We don't have a lot of bad debt but I will admit, I like to spend. I need to be content with what I have. I need to stop spending just because I think something is cute or because their is money in the bank.
Another one I really liked was Brother Gary Stevenson's. You are never alone when you can see the temple. He challenged us to take a tour of your home in your mind. And asked what you see and feel. Do you see uplifting pictures, are your scriptures next to your bedside, is there uplifting entertainment? Several things to think about to give your home a spiritual home makeover. There were several talks about temples this conference. There were also many about being of good cheer, especially in this economic hardship. I think temples and being of good cheer go hand in hand. I'm always the happiest and have the most joy in my life when I'm spiritually uplifted and what better place for that than the temple?

I was only able to listen to Sunday afternoons session. It was really great though. I loved all of the talks. It is awesome that we live in a time where we can listen on the radio, watch on tv, or stream it on the internet. General conference is great!
I love how every Conference there are always a few talks that feel completely directed to me. I really enjoyed Oaks' talk and Holland's talk about the Savior. And I love hearing what others enjoyed too, it helps me think of what I maybe missed. Of course they are all good, but some resonate more than others for me. I forgot about that spiritual home makeover one, I really liked that one too!
Those are the talks that totally stuck out to me too. I thought it was a really good conference. Jammie church is always nice! :)
I liked hearing your favs Juls. You always catch things that I don't.
I also love that picture (a couple posts back) of you and your grandma on your wedding day.
