Fireworks Stand

As I mentioned in my previous post, we ran a fireworks stand this summer. We were camped in the parking lot of Sam's Club on 3rd West and just off of 21st South. That was our home for the week leading up to the 4th of July and a few days leading up to the 24th of July. For the week of the 4th, we borrowed Dustin's sister's pop-up tent trailer with air conditioning. I could not imagine doing the stand with out this. It was a life saver with Dalton. We put him in the with the A/C going and the baby monitor on during nap time. He slept like a champ! We did come home often to shower, change and what not. One at a time, of course, because one of us had to be there the whole time.

The days were long and hot but we enjoyed interacting with so many different people from all walks of life. Being in that location, we had a wide variety of people come to us. Will we do it again next year? That is yet to be determined. Unfortunately, I don't think we would want to be in the same location again. We would rather be a little closer to home.

We had the help of some trusty child laborers. a.k.a. our nephews

More Child laborers...

My brother Bart went out on the street to hold a sign directing people to us.
(We were expecting one of the owners to show up, so we wanted to make a good impression.)

Dalton started drinking water from a bottle and holding it himself.
He's growing up WAY to fast!

He loves his daddy!
Always all smiles when Dad's around.

We had a lot of help from a few of our good friends.
This is just 1 of the many friends that came to help.

Of course, the whole reason why we did the stand to begin with...
This was a small chunk of the cash we had... Too bad it's not really ours, we still had to pay TNT.
It was still fun to hold all that money though!

He was so hot here. Poor guy!
He was such a champ the whole time though.
