Christmas Trees

The day after Thanksgiving, we go to Soda Springs, Idaho to cut down our Christmas tree. It's always a fun adventure. Somehow, its different every year. This year was one of the most memorable. They had gotten a lot of snow already and the roads are never really plowed. As we were going to our "spot" we couldn't get there because too many people were blocking the roads because they had gotten stuck. We turned around (they had enough people helping them) to find another spot for trees. Apparently, we were bound and determined to help someone out of the snow because the road we decided to go down had a single truck that needed help. My dad wasn't able to go this year but we had his truck equipped with a couple winches that came in handy. A few hours later, we finally got them out and everyone went on their merry way to cut down the perfect tree... Everyone but me that is. Being 7 1/2 months pregnant had its perk this year. I was able to stay in the car, wearing my cozy slippers and watched a movie. It's was a lot of work this year. :)
