Happy Birthday Dustin!!

Dustin's 31st birthday was on Wednesday!! I tried making him breakfast in bed but since he took the day off work, he felt like he needed to get some work done from home and got out of bed early. So he got breakfast on the couch. For any one that knows me, knows that I HATE bacon. I hate the smell, the fatty fats all over it and again, the smell! It wont be very often that is it cooked in my house but for his birthday, I decided I would make it for him. All the doors need to be closed so the smell can't sneak in and get in my clothes or pillows or blankets. I put them all on the griddle then he asked if he could help. As much as I didn't want him to help, I gave in and let him finish cooking the bacon. I ONLY like it crispy and he doesn't like it so crispy, so I let him man his bacon. In the mean time, I was making omelets. I've attempted and failed several times at making these, but while we were on our honeymoon I watched the cooks make them and thought I could try their trick. Well, they turned out better than I thought they would, but I think mine, the 2nd one, was a little better than the first. Sorry sweeties.

Before we got out of bed, he begged me for at least 1 present, so I gave him his card and a temple recommend holder. I thought I was funny but then felt bad because that wasn't really a "real" present. So I gave him the real first one, Wings, Season 6. Its a pretty good show. This was more for both of us. After we both had breakfast, I gave him the rest of his presents. The first one he opened, he was a little confused, it was 2 BYU sweatshirts. He was shocked that I actually got him something BYU and not Utah related as I usually would. I'm a big Utah fan and he is a bigger BYU fan. The next present he opened was the big present, 2 season tickets to BYU football!! He later realized that one of the sweatshirts was for me. It is the only BYU item I will ever own and no worries, I will NEVER go blue! In fact, my sweatshirt is white and just says the name of the school, doesn't have their logos or anything. I will ONLY be wearing it to the games, never anywhere else.

Later that night we went to Olive Garden for dinner. Then he wanted to just relax so we headed home to play a little Wii and watch some Wings. (We have to finish season 5 so we start season 6!) We had some Chocolate Molten Cake, which wasn't either of our favorites. I don't recommend the frozen ones from the grocery store. I told him I got them in case we didn't feel like going over to Chili's for the good stuff and frankly, we should have gone to Chili's! The frozen one didn't agree well with us. But at least we all know now, right?
I feel so blessed to have you as my husband. No matter what kind of mood I'm in, you always make me laugh. You are so good to me. I love being married to you and going to bed next to you every night and waking up to your sweet smile every morning. My hope is that I can make you even happier than you make me. I'm not sure if that is even possible, but it's going to be fun trying!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUSTIN!! I LOVE YOU SWEETIES!!!
I HOPE IT WAS A GOOD DAY!!

Aw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I'm sorry that we totally spaced it. I was busy trying to finish up school, but that is no excuse! I hope it was a wonderful day and Dustin, I'm sorry that you had to eat Julia's cooking! Oh and Julia, I now disown you as my friend for even buying BYU crap! Let alone, the fact that you are actually going to wear it and attend the games, EW!

Who cares about the BYU stuff - YOU DON'T LIKE BACON??? What the crap is up with that? I never knew that about you! Ha ha, we don't eat bacon a lot, but I love when it smells like bacon in our house! Glad you guys had a good 'Dustin Birthday' day! Happy Birthday!

Cute post. That's so funny about your thing with bacon. I think it smells good, but I don't really like eating it. Good for you on the BYU shirt. We don't expect you to be blue through and through. It won't hurt you. :) I might have to wear red when we go to the U/Michigan game on Labor Day wkend. My husband's family is coming out and they are big fans (my husband is the lone cougar).
When did Trish's blog go private? I haven't checked it for awhile and today I got denied. I would love to be added on, my e-mail is hedwig26@gmail.com.
